The Lincoln-Lawrence-Franklin Library, South Mississippi Regional Library, and Copiah-Jefferson Regional Library form the Longleaf Library Consortium. While each system is independently governed, the consortium allows patron to receive library services at any of the twelve (12) branches located within the consortia area - all on one library card! Patrons unable to locate materials at one library branch may be able to locate that material at another branch and have it routed to them - free of charge! Books (only) may be returned to any consortia branch where they will be immediately checked in and returned to their home location - a convenient method for helping patrons avoid overdue fines.
A patron with a valid library card may place up to three requests for interlibrary loan books. (These are books not available within our library system). Please note: Interlibrary loans are generally not available until the item is at least 6 months beyond its release date. We will search for the book, make the request and call the patron when the book has been received and is ready for pickup. The book will have a special check-out period dependent upon the date it is due back to the lending library. These books have a late fee of 50¢ per day up to $10.00.
Please keep in mind that we really have no control when or if we will receive these books so if it’s imperative that you have the book or must have it quickly, interlibrary loan is probably not a good option for that book. An extension is not always available past the due date. That said, interlibrary loan is a great option for our patrons and we are happy to provide this service.
